Law of Attraction on Aging, Dying and Suicide

Not all of life is a bed of roses, even if you work with the concepts of the Law of Attraction.

Sometimes we’re faced with really difficult things, like illness in ourselves or others, mental illnesses that tend towards suicidal behavior, and the pain of watching our once-powerful parents aging before our eyes.

What does the Law of Attraction literature say about these trying times?

Taboo Of Death & The Law of Attraction

From the day we’re born to the day we die, well-meaning people around us like to bring our attention to things that may harm us.

“Don’t do that, you might get hurt! Don’t eat that, it might kill you! Don’t harm yourself on purpose, that’s bad!” they say.

And while as I said, those people are well-meaning, they’re also demonstrating a very deep-seated fear of death and dying.

Read the Law of Attraction literature for very long and you already know that this extreme attention to fearful situations does not create the feelings of security people are ultimately reaching for in life -- in fact the attention attracts more situations to be fearful about.

Isn’t Law Of Attraction For The Living?

If you get into the details of what Abraham Hicks is telling us, then no, it’s not just for the living as we understand it. But I’m not going to get into that stuff, since it’s not the part I personally resonate with.

The part I DO resonate with is how the Law of Attraction takes on high-fear social taboos and speaks more sense than I’ve heard anyone ever speak. Dissolving the fear surrounding the taboo and focusing on the core issues is always so much more relieving than arguing about right and wrong!

Law of Attraction on Death, Dying, Suicide

In this excerpt, Esther Hicks / Abraham is talking to a woman about how to stay in the vortex, stay feeling as good as possible, despite her mentally ill mother and her suicidal tendancies.

There’s a lot of GREAT information for those who have been programmed with the belief that suicide is the ultimate sin. If you’re looking to release your resistance in that area in a way that brings relief and lets you know all is well, this is your piece.

I’d love to hear how the Law of Attraction has changed your life! Leave a comment any time!

A couple of years ago my Mom started to demostrate some signs of dementia/Alzheimer’s. This was before I met Abraham. It was a particularly challenging time focused around difficult and tearful conversations and usually related to what “action” we would need to take. Well….along came Abraham and I started to see Dementia/Alzheimers in a different way. I started to see it as my Mom’s path of least resistance as she begins to withdraw focus from her life here in the physical. So in my heart I told my Mom, “Hey Mom, I’m behind you all the way..whatever you need to do you do…and be happy.” Well…what happened next not only surprised me but my brother and a close friend of hers. It was like someone flipped a switch and Mom was able to live happily in her world. And yes, her world has gotten smaller…she is home most of the time but every time I talk with her she is “on the ball” and so happy. Just yesterday as I was chatting with her she was looking out the window at the fall colors and she said “My backyard is so beautiful I don’t even have to leave the house to see the fall colors”. I have had enough experience with this now to know that when we are focused on what we want, totally focused on what we want, in this case my Mom’s happiness and easy transition into the non-physical, our power of influence truly is incredible. I think that by my being in the vortex and holding my Mom there has enabled her to live happily in her home which is where she wants to be. If all goes well.. we’ll have happy, healthy, happy, healthy and the day she’ll go to sleep and make her transition. Wow…we’ve got the POWER…when you change the way you look at things the things you look at truly do change. Have a great and amazing day in the vortex everyone!

GREAT reply. That is NOT what is happening at my house currently but I am sure it will start tomorrow! THANK YOU! Great story!

    • Wow, Debbie! Thank you so much for sharing your story, that’s so helpful for myself and others to see.

All I can say is I’m SO GLAD that Jerry and Esther Hicks have influenced all of our lives! It really is incredible how the world changes with perspective, I agree!
